WTF?!
Models who start their own studios are, of course, a dime a dozen. For every Kristen Bjorn, Chip Daniels, and yes Michel Lucas (ugh), there a dozen others who fall by the wayside.
Sure working on the set can be fun! It's those other pesky details of websites, paysites, distributors, and hangers-on that can turn porn into drudgery.
Colin O'Neal has certainly found out the hard way as his deal with Raging Stallion crumbles before our eyes. His World of Men line of movies is currently being pimped out by Raging Stallion at an 8-dvds for $99.99 special. For the mathematically challenged, that's only $12.50 per movie.
Raging Stallion has flooded the market with similar product, and is finding out the hard way that sometimes, more is actually less.
We always liked Colin O'Neal, he's a cute little furry midget. But when you lie down with horsies, sometimes you end up smelling like horse shit.
Raging Stallion doesn't really have a strategy, rather they just throw everything they can up against the wall and see what sticks. (Note for bargain hunters, they're literally giving away those Alberto Rey movies as well).
If you lose money on every unit, you can't make it up in volume.
Unlike some other pornblogs, we don't think the horsies are in danger of going broke. There's always another sucka whether it's a model like Colin O'Neal, a web distributor like AEBN, or a naive investor.
The rumors flying around the industry are that to pay back AEBN for the production costs of Grunts, Raging Stallion is going to make some bareback movies. Well it wouldn't be the first time ;)
It's just too bad to seen a fine model like Colin get screwed by people that don't really know what they're doing.
